New York Apple Country® Recipe 1 can (21 oz.) apple pie filling DIRECTIONS Half each squash and discard seeds. Place cut side down in large baking dish and add 1/2 inch of water. Bake at 400° F for 25 minutes. Turn squash cut side up and sprinkle with onion powder, seasoned salt and ginger, and dot each half with 1/2 tbsp. butter. Place one sausage in each squash. Mix apple pie filling with sherry and fill squash cavities. Cover with foil and bake at 350° F for 30 minutes or until squash is tender. Top with almonds and bake uncovered for five minutes. Makes 4 servings |
