APPLE STREUSEL COBBLER

INGREDIENTS

1 can (21 oz.) apple pie filling or topping, chilled
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup oats
2 eggs
1  can (14 oz.) Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup unsifted flour
1/4 cup cold butter or margarine

DIRECTIONS
Heat oven to 375° F. Spread apple filling in greased 9-inch square baking pan.

In medium bowl, beat eggs. Add sweetened condensed milk, melted margarine, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well. Pour over apple filling.

In medium bowl, combine sugar and flour, cut in cold butter or margarine until crumbly. Add nuts and oats. Sprinkle over egg mixture.

Bake 50-55 minutes or until set. Cool. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired. Refrigerate leftovers.

Makes 9-12 servings
Prep time: 20 minutes
Bake time: 50-55 minutes
