New York Apple Country® Recipe 1 can (21 oz.) apple pie filling or topping DIRECTIONS Heat two tbsp. olive oil in frying pan over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and cook until rich brown, approx. 3 minutes. Turn and brown other side. Remove chops from pan and transfer to baking dish. Add onion to pan and cook, stirring, until golden and softened, about 3 minutes. Turn off heat. Combine onion, pie filling, vinegar, salt, pepper, wine and apple cider. Pour over pork chops and apple compote on plate. Delicious with potato pancakes or spaetzel. Makes 4 servings |
