A New York Apple Country® Recipe

NEW YORK TANGY APPLE SALAD

A refreshing and very easy salad. Try it with vanilla yogurt for a slightly sweet flavor.

INGREDIENTS

3 New York State apples
2/3 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1 tablespoon orange marmalade
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
4 heads Boston or Bibb lettuce (or 1 head Romaine lettuce)
1/4 cup sliced almonds

DIRECTIONS

Mix yogurt with marmalade and pepper. Tear lettuce into bite size pieces. Cut apples into small cubes. Mix lettuce, apples, almonds, and dressing. Serve immediately.
